Welcome to the Curtin Chess Club!

Whether you’re a complete beginner at chess, still learning how the pieces move or a casual player looking to get some games in, the Curtin Chess Club (CCC) is the place for you! We offer a welcoming and relaxed, social environment where players of all skill levels can come together to learn, play and grow through casual games and local tournaments. More than just chess, it's about building a friendly community and creating a space on campus where students can share their passion for the timeless game of chess.

We aim to break people out of the online chess bubble and foster genuine, face to face connections over the board and support the development of newer players by helping them learn the game as effectively as possible through guidance, practice, and post game discussions.
